I've lived the first half of my life in Bosnia and the second half in the U.S. and I find this small book to be a very good, concise guide to Bosnian culture, customs, and everyday life. If you live outside of Bosnia and are planning a trip there, or want to understand Bosnian people better, get this book. There are not many pictures and photographs in the book. More photos with captions could have enhanced the content of the book better.

We found very useful this brief, fast paced introduction to Bosnian culture, geography, language, politics, cuisine, and people. Well done.

Easy to read! well laid out! I feel as if I can wander about BiH in comfort & not "accidently" offend. I found some great places to visit, my trip was more complete & enjoyable I felt at ease & was able to utiluize the vocabulary provided HIGHLY,HIGHLY recommend.

I found this to be easy to read and informative. Bosnia is a complex place but this little book helps to guide one in how to approach and survive in Bosnia.

My sister is heading off to Bosnia for a year abroad and I wanted to surprise her with a book to read on culture and customs while she's preparing. However, there were no books to be found solely on Bosnia except for this one! It has greatly exceeded my expectations in the material it has to share, if this is the only good travel book out there, it is definitely a sufficient representation of all the wonders Bosnia has in store for her!

By far the best book on Bosnia I have read. It is up to date (as of Nov 2013), easy to read and highlights the positive while still acknowledging the negative. And it is a pleasant, breezy read.

This superb small book is very well written and designed for those who hope to move forward, beyond war and terror, but without forgetting. The author is embedded in the culture with a keen eye for detail. She has surfaced the most critical issues and described them succinctly. A great find.

An accurate and nice to read travel guide. Kept it with me all the time in Sarajevo.

This book is ideal for the novice coach, however it will also appeal to more experienced coaches. As a novice coach, this book gave me the perfect framework to introduce the concept of positions. For the more experienced coach, the concepts that a coach is already familiar with are presented at a level that is very accessible for the elementary age soccer player. I have been able to give my players specific instructions according to the position they are playing. For example on defense, I can tell my player that their only job is to keep the ball out of driveway. And they get it. Our soccer team is going to be much stronger as a result of having this book and implementing Coach Bryan's strategy.
