I play an Avenger, so you might expect me to hate Redeemers as much as Vampires. This book is so good, my daughter is 9 years old and a huge animal lover, she simply loved this book. She opened it up and read it pretty quickly, but she became an instant fan of Jane Goodall and was so happy to learn she's still alive. She really loved the illustrations as well. Although she's in 4th grade and a pretty easy read, she asked me to buy her the entire series. Yikes. Xmas present.

Great book. Great story. Wonderful message for kids, especially girls. Thought it would be short but it's a good size book. Not too many big words but also enough to challenge their reading skills.

My grand-daughter, who just turned seven, absolutely loves this series by Brad Meltzer. She has several titles, with a couple more (Amelia Earhart and Helen Keller) tucked away for Christmas. As an educator, I am particularly interested in heroic role models for young girls. As always, Brad's love of history shines through and infuses a spirit of learning and aspiration. I highly recommend these books for any young reader.

I love all these books. What a great way to introduce kids to historical figures. And my 3 year old loves them. They fully hold her attention. It's adorable to hear her say That's Jane, she likes animals

I LOVE Jane Goodall myself - I love her as female role model, but just a human being who just pursued her passion and moved the big needle. So when I saw this book suggested on Amazon, I bought it for my 4yo daughter. I wasn't expecting her to be moved by her story, but I thought that she might like it because she likes animal. It's not a short book, for the first time when I read the whole book, she said "that was a long book!". But then she asked me a while later that she wanted me to read the book, and I think so far I've read to her 3 times total or so.But to my surprise - when my mom came to our place and playing with my daughter, she was showing all her toys and books and she picked up this book and she said "Her name is Jane Goodall and she likes monkeys" - and I was like, "What did I just hear?!?!". I now realized the power of these books and the way we (as parents) bring these incredible human beings' stories into their lives. I will buy other books again.

Wow! if I could collect all the books, I think I would based on this one book. Good illustrations (resemble the art of the cartoonits who did Calvin and Hobbes). Simplified to the level my 4 and 6 year olds appreciated and understood. The author didn't talk down to them, rather at their level. Not too simple, though, there was plenty to learn.

Fantastic book. The true story of Jane Goodall has deeply inspired my 6.5 year old daughter. Great lessons about following your dreams, equal opportunity for women, how being smart is important and cool, care and empathy for animals, value in science and research and geographical lessons as well.I've purchased this 3 more times as presents for both boys and girls.Well written and illustrated.

Great series. My niece anxiously awaits the delivery of each new book. These books will be well worn over the years. Each book is read over and over again. She is learning history in a fun and exciting way. Dress up games have taken on a new twist. Instead of playing princess we reenact the characters of these stories.

My nephew stole it from my house and wont give it back. I also ordered one for my sister who is grateful for the info contained in the book. I feel sorry for the author because his books are being suppressed by "big pharma" and "big agra" and the infamous F-Dee-A. If you read it and do a little research about what he writes, you will be p1ssed off. I promise you that.

It's unfortunate that this author had to go to jail, I read this book cover to cover and have tried just a few of the procedures. All that I tried, worked and worked very well.

Because of him, and buying his book and DOING many of the things he tells us to do in Chapter 6, my pain is minimal compared to previously, my nails and hair grow much quicker, and I feel much better than I have in over 25 years and I am not on any over the counter drugs or prescription drugs and I am 57 years old. I am so very thankful that I saw that ad and bought the book. It taught me a lot and I continue to keep reading about natural cures anywhere I can. I also have told many others about this stuff in Chapter 6 and many have become healthier because of it too. This book is top of my list for books to own. But reading won't change things - you much do them! A GREAT BOOK!

I think I would be rating this book at 1 star if I had paid more than $20 for this book. There are definitely some good points buried in the redundant babble and typos. Unfortunately, they could have been made in a quarter of the pages in this incessant monologue.The FTC and FDA are definitely shady, just like the majority of the goverment, and everything is ALWAYS about the money... it isn't anything new. More case studies would have strengthened your argument, and justified the length of this book.However, this did raise my awareness... on the normal American consumption of cheap, grabage food... and the 'easy fix' pills pharmaceutical companies keep pushing. I definitely pay more attention to the ** unbelievably frequent ** drug commercials on television, and to LISTEN to the disclaimers. So who cares if you can be nauseous, dizzy, raise your risk of liver damage (Crestor), cause birth defects, lower your libido, etc... because hey.. curing your allergies, cholestrol, depression or heartburn is just SO worth it. Right?-------------------------------------------------------------SUMMARY:An alkaline PH factor does not allow disease to exist. Most ill people are highly acidic.All diseases and illnesses result from 4 origins1) Toxic Body (meds, chlorine, floride, system)2) Lack of Nutrients ('good' organic food, vitamins, pure water)3) Electromagnetic Chaos (power lines, cell towers, microwaves)4) Mental and Emotional Stress (traffic, pollution, horror media)Healthy people have 3/4 odorless BMs a day, and do NOT HAVE: body odor, dandruff, skin problems, or depression... sleep soundly, and rarely experience illness, aches, or pains.To achieve this.. you clean our your colon (herbal or irrigation), stop taking prescription or OTC drugs, stop ingesting floride (tap water and toothpaste), avoid absorbing chlorine (pools and shower), consume organic, raw foods, unpasteurized unhomogenized dairy products, and free range meat and eggs.Avoid any food made by big business companies, they are interested in profit and will be shoving chemicals in whatever they produce to increase profits, over public health.Walk an hour or more a day.Jump on a 'rebounder' (mini-trampoline).Drink 1/2 your body weight (in ounces) of distilled water.Take coral calcium, natural vitamin E (and mangosteen juice)The goofy stuff - use magnets... avoiding newspapers (stress)-------------------------------------------------------------Other stuff, how hydrogen therapy and other alternative treatments can cure cancer, etc... you can research online. Its okay in some areas and the rest sometimes make one think this guy is a little overboard. The statements seem a little odd, and the numbers inaccurate, with no citation or footnotes to support his claims regarding scientific studies or report findings, which would make the numbers more credible (i.e claims on deaths linked to Vioxx, etc).Last thing... Kevin, you should have proofed this book (a lot of typos and redundancy) and taken a poll on HOW ANNOYING the neverending pimping of your website is... seriously.

Great book, very useful info

It's over all a good book. I see people complaining about the book not giving any cures. Read between the lines people. It outlines what to do to gain your health back. Its not just in a pill. Its in your life style.
