This edition is a bit old now, a lot has changed in the last few years, including Murcia (Costa Calida) actually being on the map ;-) As with many guidebooks on Spain, my favourite region gets very little mention. The house prices mentioned in 2004 were certainly surpassed, but who knows with the "Spanish property crash" maybe these prices will soon be current again! It's quite a light book, but gives a good overview of the process and I like that it covers all of the areas (renting, letting, buying, selling)

I usually love the Lonely Planet "Discover" series books, but this one truly missed the mark. The main map in the front of the book isn't broken down by sections/colors like other Discover books, and the very few suggested itineraries are a disappointment. These are two huge reasons why I buy these books in the first place. My other problem with this book is the information provided for transportation between cities. Yes, it gives some suggestions, but I still feel a bit lost. There is some useful information in there for sure, but I will most certainly need additional resources before booking my trip. I may buy the previous Discover Thailand version of this book in hopes that most of it isn't outdated and that it has better suggestions.

Lonely Planet never disappoints! We love the little maps, quips and suggestions in this book! Cannot wait to use it in Thailand! The LP Thailand beaches is free on Kindle and plan on using it too!

Can,t believe this is genuine, have been buying these for past 30 years this is worst ever, way below Lonely Planet standards. Waste of money.

easy to read and follow

I found this book extremely easy to use and it had excellent suggestions. There are multiple maps throughout and the book is divided into city. It also offers suggestions for different trip ideas depending on the length you are able to go. These suggestions are both for an entire trip to Thailand, as well as by each city in Thailand.

I was on a preplanned trip and used the guide for my free time. It worked for this purpose but it is not enough info to design a full trip with.

Very thorough and contains a lot of very helpful information.

My 7 year old grandson read Captain Snout out loud to me with a little help with unfamiliar words. I am very impressed with the content. He understood the story and it was interesting for him to stay with it {he has ADD}. I am planning to have him read it to me again at times so we can discuss the super power questions so we can both deal with ANTS {automatic negative thoughts}. I am so hopeful that it will hep him deal with some of the difficulties he has so he can have a better way to deal with his conditions as well as normal troubles in life.It did coincide with him recently watching a "Wild Kratts" episode on ant eaters thus giving him something to relate to and wonder what the heck this book was about. And every kid is fascinated with super powers.

My granddaughter has been struggling with anxiety issues, and I bought the book for her. As a teacher, I liked the positive attitude in the book, but I was worried that it might be on the young side for her. She's 11, but I didn't need to worry. Her dad read it to both my granddaughters. He loved it! He learned that he's very judgmental of himself. Both of my granddaughters enjoyed it, so I was happy about that, but I was even happier that my son learned something from it too!

We're big fans of Dr Amen and listen to his and his wife's The Brain Warrior's Way podcast. This book is a perfect compliment to what we're trying to live in our own lives and sharing with our family: Changing how we feel about our lives and emotions by changing our thoughts and the stories we tell ourselves.

Even though this is a children’s book, I bought it with intentions of reading it to both my 6 yr old and the 11 yr old. The 11 yr old was the one I felt really needed this lesson and, sure enough, he said he really liked this book and definitely understood it. My daughter listened but didn’t seem to understand the message of this book. I plan on reading it again very soon to both children. I really enjoyed it and recommend!

This children's book was prescribed by my physician -- I'm 67 years old! She told me to read it to my 91-year-old mother, as well!Anyone who struggles with anxiety/depression and is haunted by negative thoughts could benefit from reading this book. I plan to share it with my grandchildren, and hope they can learn the simple lesson in this book and avoid the traps of negative thinking while they are still young!

This book actually works pretty good. I was skeptical at first that the express idea of using positive tools to overcome "Automatic Negative Thinking" could translate in a kid's book. But for my post-divorce kids, it actually did a good job. Recommended.

I liked the message of the book when the author mentioned it on a TV show. It is great to hear adults say after reading it, "This is a really good book!" And even better to hear grandchildren reminding each other (or me) about not letting the ANTs get the upper hand. They get it and are able to apply the message to their lives.

One nice feature is that the author recommends settings for a number of different scenarios which provide a good starting point as you become familiar with the camera.If you just bought a Hero 5, this book is a great companion guide.

VERY INFORMATIVE BOOK, 7 Chapters of great knowledge.I am a very avid amateur photographer with over 20 years experience. I do a lot of different types of photography from Astrophotography with traditional digital camera's and high tech CCD devices linked to computers, to scuba-diving underwater video's and photography. While the GoPro Hero 5 has a lot of intuitive drop down menu's, this book will take you to a higher level of understanding and practical use which will enable the GoPro user to get the most out of their camera. A little pricey for the number of pages, but the quality of this book is outstanding from the physical construction of the book to the vast quantity of example pictures and illustrations.A definite BUY if you have a GoPro 5. In my opinion, the user of a GoPro 5 will get MUCH more use and enjoyment out of their camera after reading this book.

I found this to be an excellent resource on how to use this camera. excellent step by step instructions, simple language and easy to understand explanatory notes. Useful for those who have experience with GoPro's or those new to the camera alike.

As a newbie to using this camera, I found the book helpful. There were one or two places in which the author did assume a novice like me might have knowledge which I did not. But nothing major that could not be figured out with a moment or two of reflection. Besides learning to use the camera, I was inspired by the section on various ways the camera might be mounted for a different perspective. Nice clear manual.

I'm a UNIX System Admin and I've used this Guide frequently. My primary flavor is HP-UX but I'm also responsible for a spattering of Compaq (Digital) servers as well. I've had no problems locating commands or understanding their usage. This Guide works. Don't be misled by the "DIGITAL" in the title - all the commands are the same ...just the name has changed ( to Compaq ). Best Regards, turtlex.
