Kick cholesterol to the curb! Yes, finally a book has been written to expose the truth about the dangers of sugar and most carbohydrates, especially in processed food. This is a well written book to explain the truth about inflammation and all the dangerous things this does to the human body. We've been sold a system of lies by pharmaceutical and food manufacturing companies for far too long. It is time we understood what the body needs for fuel to run at its optimum and for health and longevity. The authors of this book were also featured on an episode of Dr Oz that was very enlightening. Great book with great information.
Best book on nutrition as it relates to the heart and vascular system. This is not a diet book per say. This complements Adkins or the South Beach diet books. However this is the book to get first! No regrets whatsoever. No fluff and excess words to explain a simple subject. I like how each chapter starts off with a summary of what the chapter is about. I highly recommend this book to all individuals either healthy or looking to make a change to a healthier lifestyle. This book is life changing which makes it hard to put down.
I no longer take statins and I follow the supplement recommendations in this book. My labs came back with much lower triglyceride levels. I no longer deal with uncomfortable and dangerous side effects of statins! Read this and then take it to your doctor's office and ask him or her to read it!
This book is an eye openerer. It is a little technical...which I like..stretch your mind. I've read several books on statins and how they disrupt the mevolonate pathway. I once had a holistic doctor ask (about taking a statin) if I would rather die of a remote heart attack, or die from Alzheimers. When you starve your brain of cholesrterol, well and things could happen. . They put my dad on a statin he got Alzheimers. They put my mom on a statin and she had a stroke. She eventually died of brain cancer. Statins destroy your immune system, too.
Excellent book. I came across this book through a tv program, not an infomercial, where the co-author was being interviewed. The information discussed seemed non bias and informative so I figured I'd buy the book. It's the best money I've ever spent. It contains information that not only is useful and very enlightening, but is written in a way that's easily understood. The title should be "The greatest HEALTH myth" because the writer goes beyond just dealing with cholesterol and addresses overall health. This is a must read for anyone who is interested in getting healthier and maintaining their health and understanding why certain illnesses take root and what you can do about it. Straigtforward without all the medical jargon.
