Had the opportunity to read DBT Therapeutic Activity Ideas for Working with Teens, and this is one of the most informative and useful workbooks I have ever read. The author goes to great length to demonstrate skills to improve your teens life, including worksheets with examples! This is such a comprehensive skill based book, I'm sure I will use it with all of my clients. Well written and fun, while working on changing difficult behavior and learning coping skills- I'm so appreciative to have this book and will be buying extra copies to give to clients. Love the, "Turn the Mind" worksheet, see photo included in review.

I don't recommend this if you're working with teens. I looked for a newer copyright date hoping it would be somewhat updated but this one is dated and very "cutesey," and doesn't seem appropriate for teens. Possibly for elementary or middle school students. Don't purchase fi you work with teens.

After reviewing many DBT workbooks, I discovered this wonderfully well written and illustrated workbook. This workbook has been one of the most useful books in my therapy room for kids in middle school, high school and young adults going into college. The handouts are easy to use and parents have responded well to using them at home with their children. The skills are nicely laid out and easy to understand. Many of my clients and parents have commented how helpful this book has been for their child. I would highly recommend this workbook to any clinician working with the adolescent population.

This is a must-have for clinicians and clients who work with teens. It makes DBT exercisesthat could seem mundane and dry fun and user-friendly. The format is attractive and easilylegible. Thank you Carol Lozier, LCSW for giving therapist and clients this gift

Great book and some great activities with detailed instructions

I was excited about the activities to use in my DBT group. Unfortunately there are quite a few errors throughout the book..

This is an amazing book! It is practical, hands on and easy to use. Each DBT module has its own section with worksheets and handouts. There are clear, concise directions for every activity and the trainer will be able to print a handout and teach without a lot of advance preparation. The worksheets are attractive and not complicated so the learner will be able to review and integrate the information between sessions. As a life coach for foster and adoptive families, I believe the information in this book will greatly benefit both parents and children. I am excited about this addition to my toolbox of activities and I know you will be too!

I am sure this would be a great resource for clinicians, but if you are a parent whose teenager is working on DBT skills with their counselor, this book is also for you. There are some great handouts that you can photocopy and use with your teen, including instructions, to supplement the skills that they are already learning. In fact, I'm sure your child's counselor will thank you if you introduce them to this book. Valuable resource!

Loved the book and the experience. I started reading just to get some basic information about how to handle wax, but all the amazing information about beeswax and scented soy. I had a previously, but not good, experience with aromatherapy, but the instructions were so clear in this book that I could manage to combine a few oils and essences to do my beeswax and wax candles and the results were amazing. I am certainly keeping this book in my collection for future references.

Great guide for the thrifty person who wants to take care of themselves. The candles I was able to make were terrific and cost very little. The difficulty level is intermediate though - need a little DIY experience tbh

This book is a true visual guide that provides you with an easy step by step procedure of making scented soy, beeswax candles and wax melts at home. My review was much, much longer but Amazon refused to publish it for some reason. So here is a short review instead!If you are one of the million who commute by public transportation, this is the perfect carry along. The pictures are particularly beautiful and his narrative of the short history of the motorcycle is both engaging and entertaining. He clearly has great affection for James May as he insults him every now and then (a general means by which the male of our species, homo sapiens, proclaims affection, if not love or respect or both, for the same sex) making you feel as though you are watching a classic episode of Top Gear, but only better because this time it's about motorcycles. Whilst I think that Hammond could have developed certain topics further, inevitably the book is a coffee table book written out of a genuine love for motorcycles and not some desire to educate the world vis a vis a doctoral program at a distinguished British university. If it were, I'd be signing up for my PhD today! No, Richard Hammond's love of motorcycles is infectious and genuine. He didn't write this book to make money, he doesn't need too. He is rich. Rather, it's clear that the book is a giant love letter to the motorcycle as a whole itself including how it has shaped his own life and the lives of millions of other bikers in all their forms, be they part of the 99%'r or even 1%'r crowds. Thus, whilst the title of the book is not technically misleading, a more suitable title would have been something along the lines of Richard Hammond's Love of Motorcycles or better yet Ode To Motorcycles: A Love Letter By Richard Hammond. Either way, it's a fun little read that will leave you wanting to find out more about various aspects of motorcycle history, marques and generally anything to do with two wheels. There's nothing more to say other than "that'll do Hamster, that'll do.

Great resource for this first-time RVer. I was able to find campgrounds that took reservations for a 9-night trip during the high season in Michigan. Really made my trip planning job easier, and it will come with us on the trip just in case.

A must for anyone traveling in a RV. AAA does not have a book as comprehensive as Woodall's. Every campground in North America is in here. The only drawback is its size...large and heavy. Over a thousand pages can be unwielding, but great as a reference.

The directory is great. You can find all the campgrounds in the area by looking up the city name. It tells you all the facilities available at the campground. You can find the phone number, web site information...anything that you need in order to make reservations.

I got this book based on several people recommending the Lonely Planet line of books and I was not disappointed, except that we couldn't stay longer to actually learn more of the language. Nicely laid out with good conjugation charts and tips on who to speak the difficult, profuse vowel sounds and included lots of useful phrases. Not that we really needed them, because everyone spoke very good English!

This little book is so good. It has phrases for just about any situation you find yourself in. It covers dating, banking, shopping and every thing else.I have a knowledge of dutch, so it was easier for me to get into.I cannot imagine someone who has no knowledge of the language finding it easy to use though.

I have another phrase book that is a little shorter than the Lonely Planet version, so Bought this thinking it would expand on the quantity of useful phrases. I found that it was missing some key, basic phrases, such as "What is the way to ...?" and " I would like a table for 2 people" that the shorter competitor has. It also had entire sections that were interesting to read, but not really useful as a general phrase book for travel. Such is why ai am disappointed.

Pronounciation guide written from a Brit's point of view I think. A little confusing for Americans.

I like this little book, so does my husband. I am Dutch, born and raised and bought it for my American husband whom wants to learn Dutch. He takes it to work every day because it is so easy to take with you.

Use it for my family history research. Help[s to translate dutch and pronounce names correctly.

If you're interested in speaking Dutch this is one book that you should have.

I'll used this. Just not my first choice.

Although I go in-depth in this book about how to create comics digitally, this is not a how-to or step-by-step book on the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop itself. Instead, this book is targeted at intermediate to advanced users of Photoshop, so if you are unfamiliar with it or any other computer programs I refer to, I highly recommend that you look on line for in-depth tutorials, purchase one of the many books on the subject, or even take an introductory course in using Photoshop.

What makes the book so good is Freddie's ability to convey information so clearly and in simple, straight-forward, easy to understand terms.This book is mainly aimed at people with some knowledge of various design software such as Adobe Photoshop which was the main tool the author uses. That in itself is my only warning to anyone thinking about buying this book. Don't expect to be taught Photoshop inside and out. If you know photoshop pretty well then this will be a Gem for you. I've been working on my own comic book project mainly in Corel Painter however most design software is at its core kind of the same. Freddie explains things so well that I could actually apply his Photoshop techniques to Corel, so even if you don't use Photoshop the ideas presented here cross software boundaries. Seeing how well presented and coherent Freddie explains his workflow I am strongly considering drawing everything in Photoshop then using Corel Painter for color only.Freddie will carry you from beginning to end, from the digital sketch to the digital inks. He will give you hints, tips and so much useful ideas for creating a speedy workflow. I got the book this evening and sat down just to flip through some pages. Before I knew it I had read through more than half of the book, it was that interesting! I feel like I've just been sitting down with a friend who for hours was patiently helping me to understand the proper way to go about creating the comic book of my dreams.Finally I was so happy to see a proper section on creating backgrounds using perspective grids digitally. This is what I've been looking for everywhere for a couple years. This guy has covered all the obstacles that you will encounter, the only thing left is to pick up the Wacom pen and draw. This is an insight into the artist's process and workflow. It teaches techniques for improving "real world" production and efficiency. The author has many Photoshop techniques and tips that will simply have you saying, "Why didn't I think of that!" and are worth the price alone in the time you'll save after learning them. If you're serious about transitioning to a digital production (emphasis on real production) model, this, is the best $16 you'll spend. It's easy to read, nicely produced/illustrated and will have you expanding your toolset/skills in no time at all. Remember, this artist uses photoshop so you're going to need to have a copy and some basic comfort with it to really benefit.Get another book for learning the very basics like anatomy etc. This book is about how to really produce by using Photoshop to make your drawing and layout more efficient so you can meet your deadlines NOT about the very basics.Finally, I'd just really like to say thanks to Williams for doing this book and sharing his workflow. I'm buying my 2nd copy of this book because, my buddy (who draws comics) won't give my first copy back (Happy Birthday you jerk! =]). That's how good it is.
